Below are links to media that highlight aspects of the Igorot culture or experiences with it through different digital creators' unique perspectives. The creators themselves may not always be of Igorot descent or grew up with the culture, and the content is a form of them exploring and growing their knowledge of it. Creator backgrounds may impact the perception, and we remain open-minded to understanding them. YouTube Channels

MICHAEL LOGUITAN (YouTube Channel)

An Igorot Vlogger from the province of Benguet, Cordillera Administrative Region, Philippines created videos on the YouTube channel "Kadwa Michael" to promote agriculture by teaching and showing the way of a farmer's life and to show the different cultures of province of Benguet, which includes aspects of the Igorot culture.

FEATR (YouTube Channel)

FEATR has a digital video channel from The Fat Kid Inside Studios, dedicated to food, travel, Filipino culture, and telling better stories over a hot meal- this channel explores the Igorot culture in many videos in their travels throughout the Cordilleras.

BECOMING FILIPINO

#BecomingFilipino is an adventure. It is the journey of a Canadian trying to “Become Filipino”, and shared his experiences in the Philippines that includes many videos of him travelling in the Cordilleras. 

FDG STAGES

"Inspire, entertain, educate. Igorot from the mountains of the Cordillera. Cheers! Atok-Kabayan breed. Buguias-Bokod-Tublay Team"

FDG is an Igorot Content creator who actively posts on Facebook and documented research and experiences on his YouTube channel. His and his team's work provides valuable insight into both Igorot history and modern living in the Cordilleras.

LexGo (YouTube)

Lex is a YouTube Travel Vlogger that has made videos of his experiences in the Cordilleras which include a travel guide to Bontoc, highlights of Sagada (where he chose to Honeymoon), and things to do in Ifugao.

VILLAGE LIFE PH

The vlogs in this channel are mixed. It features different life activities that may have some positive impact to its viewers and to the society. Classroom videos are in the Philippines setting, particularly in the village areas. It doesn't speak for the whole Department of Education because the situation differs from location to location. Mamerto “Lagitan” Tindongan is an 8th generation Mumbaki (native priest) from the Ifugao tribe in the Northern Philippines who travels and teaches internationally. He maintains the Ifugao Center for Living Culture channel- one of many places all over the world that offer a chance to reconnect with indigenous knowledge and culture. The Center aims to teach people the Ifugao culture, but we are also excited to be able to host other living tribes from around the world, as well as visit them in their spaces, because knowledge is best used together and connected.
